At what age can ya start to have a grey hair?

my 17yo son has a piece of white hair its that normal for a 17yo? it runs in the family but they were in their mid 20ish.At what age can ya start to have a grey hair?
I know it does depend.


I got my first grey hair at 30 but my grandpa got his first one at 16 and my mom got her first one at 21. So, it depends on genetics I am sure.


But I'd say if it's just a couple then pull them out. I would.


But might be on safe side, if you want, to get him checked at the doctor but by and large could be nothing, probably he is just healthy but unlucky with hair color and genetics as far as getting grey.At what age can ya start to have a grey hair?
well my husband noticed his first grey hairs coming through when he was 21 but his dad started going grey when he was just 15 so everything thing is normal with ur 17 y/o its just genetics :)
Actually, any age. Some people are actually born with white streaks in their hair.
My advice is to never start having it. Once you start, it's hard to stop.
Some people in my mother's family started getting it at 12 years old. I started in my early 20s. I'm 27 now.
Any age really. I have known several people that have been almost completely white by the time they were 16. It's a genetic thing.

I dont think you have to be a certin age for grey hair I have heard it happen to younger kids than 17 it dont mean there is something wronge maybe he is just growing up.
Any time really, although 17 is very young. But not unheard of.


Maybe get some blood work to make sure though.
late teens early tweenties is rare but been known if its just the one or two i would just pull it out
it can be...take him to a doctor to exclude anything else if you want to be cool about it
my grandpa was totally Grey when he was 30 and i started getting grey hairs when i was 12 but thankfully i started dying it or else i would prolly be totally Grey too :(
You can be born with grey hair it dosent matter if yoiu are 12 or 100.
A girlfrien of mine started going gray in the 6th grade. She was totaly silver by the 11th.
