What age were you when you spotted grey hair on your head for the first time?

Question for grey haired only. I saw a few for the very first time when I was barely 20. It was depressing! What about you?What age were you when you spotted grey hair on your head for the first time?
Early 20s. Now I get quite a bit at temples and crown. I have naturally dark hair and it shows a lot. Instead of dyeing them brown I get them highlighted, and it blends them in and they don't show for a couple months. I am 31 and I could cry every time I see a grey hair. I was 16. It started as a streak, and gradually my hair turned


white, not grey. Funny thing is when I am in the sunshine and pick up a strand of my hair, I see brown, blonde, red hairs.
Gray hair is typically a result of natural aging. Pigment in the hair shaft special cell at the root of the hair. These cell is genetically program to make a certain amount of pigment(melanin) at specific ages. At some point of the aging process, these cells


make less and less pigment until the hair become little pigment. White hair has no pigment and gray hair are some but not much as red, black or brown hair. Not all hair respond in the same way or at the same time. So the graying process is gradual. You can't prevent graying hair. Some people start graying hair the ages 30's and some not until thier 60's. Genetics also play strong role in graying hair. People go gray overnight. If they do Its typically go to allopecia areata. This condition causes the thicker, darker hair to stop growering before it affects the growth the gray hair- giving the impression of graying overnight. Alopecia Areata eventually causes rounded patches of hair loss or complete loss of hair on the haid or body. It's cause isn't unknown. Gray hair in the child is uncommon problem and should be evaluated by the doctor or deramatoligist. Causes of a gray hair of a child is : 1.premature graying is also associated with other condition such as vitiligo,alopecia areata, thyroid disorders, and anemia including vitamin b-12 deficiency. 2.Patches of white or gray hair- some of this inherited it is also associated with certain skin disorder such as vitiligo, and genitic disorders, such as marfan syndrome and waardenburgs syndrome. treatment for graying hair for children is the same as adult it includes dying hair and variuos hair styling technique.

I got my first WHITE hair at age 13. How sad :( At least thats when it was first spotted.

i am 34 years old and 2 weeks ago my sister in law yanked out 2 of the blasted things out of my head. geesh
I don`t have grey hair. I`m goin` bloody bald !
