Is it normal if a child begins to grow grey hair?

Well I'm not a child anymore I'm more of like a teenager but when I was eight years old, my hair began to grow grey hair (I have black hair). I never coloured my hair because my parents are afraid that if I coloured my hair it would ruin it and my grey hairs would multiply, but it is multiplying anyways. As of right now my hair isn't actually fully grey but there a lot of it that some people can see it. I didn't do anything about it so I've had it for six years now, but I've always been curious if it is normal. Is it normal if a child begins to grow grey hair?
Some people just get grey hair earlier than others. Its not abnormal. Is it normal if a child begins to grow grey hair?
Unusual yes, abnormal no. It's hereditary if you were to look into your ancestors you'd doubtless find others the same way.

Growing up I knew a woman who's hair was completely grey and she was in her 30's. When I was in my 20's I had a patch of hair on my forehead that was pure white I'm blond so it didn't stand out to much and it's fallen out since, but it looked odd to me at the time.
it's perfectly normal
ok well, maybe it was just like that because when i was little(er) my hair was bleach blonde now, it's dark brown... so ya
its not usual but it is normal. i've that n the most the doctors said was to eat black food like black beans n sesame seed n stuff hehe check this site...it may b helpful :)

Yeah just look at taylor hicks!!!! (american idol winner)
Yeah I know some people who started greying when they were little and now they have grey hair and they're perfectly normal (one is my age, 26). Some people just grey quicker than others.
i heard that when u get grey or white hair or ur hair starts falling out at an young age it could be either hormones or maybe your just stressed out a lot.
My dad once told there are special natural chemicals that decide your hair color, maybe due toa gene defect, said person's hair may turn grey.
My son is 7 yrs old, and started getting grey hair last year. He doesn't have a lot just a couple strands, he calls it his smart hairs....LOL I also think its kinda funny my 6 yr old had his first grey hair before ME!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

I was worried, because I did hear some rare disorders could cause premature greying.......But my sons father was already salt/peppery when he was 20. His mom doesn't remember when the first grey hair started. Anyways, if your worried go to the doctor and ask...your not alone though!!
Perhaps in your family there are other people who have gray hair early in their lives. This is a hereditary condition. There is no problem if you colour it.
Hey there: Best thing you could do is go to the doctor and ask ;)
i think that child is a genius or an old soul. just check out how smart they are in school!!

What is the cause of early grey hair in young people?

I have observed that very young people develop grey hair as against the normal situation of grey hair coming with old age. Is there any medical explanation for that? What is the cause of early grey hair in young people?
It is almost always simply a matter of genetics. If your parents and grandparents went gray early - you probably will too. What is the cause of early grey hair in young people?
sometimes when there is dandruff and proper care is not taken to prevent it, they can weaken the roots of hair and the pigmentation too. also high fluorine content present in water used to wash hair contributes to developing grey hair in young people in some countries. (it also leads to skin allergies and loss of bone tissue etc.,) stress plays a key role in early greying of hair along with other factors like genetics and diet.
Genetics and possibly stress.
Things such as stress can effect hair color and general health of hair but a lot of the time it's in your genes.
Genes and diet. But stress can also cause grey hair in many cases
genetics...look at your dad..he'll give you the answer to what your hair will probably be
Stress, genetics, and diet all play a role
Genetics. I started when I was sixteen, and at 26 I am at least 45% white, just like my parents. Its a horrible myth that stress and diet cause this, it is a simple matter of the hair shaft filling with air instead of pigment.

I am 16 years old and I have grey hair at the tips but black at roots. Why is this happening?

I first noticed grey hair when I was 8 years old. Since then, I've always had 5-6 hairs which are black (my natural colour) at the roots but white at the tips and the rest of the length. Even if I remove them, a hair of same type comes up in its place. Why is this happening and how can I stop it? I don't want to colour my hair.I am 16 years old and I have grey hair at the tips but black at roots. Why is this happening?
heya.....hope the folowin things help u.....so its ur generation problem of getting grey hair or u must be having natural shades or u must be using gell on ur hair thus its turning grey - white...........so dye ur hair BLACK and bathe everyday and shampoo twice a week and always apply hair oil to maintain the blackness of ur hair :)I am 16 years old and I have grey hair at the tips but black at roots. Why is this happening?
I have a friend with a very very similar condition in his hair. It's genetics man, there's not much you can do asides from coloring it.

I have started having some grey hair, right in the front. How can I cover it without using hair dyes.?

My hair are highlighted, but when they grow in between the highlights, the grey starts showing. Its only a few hair in the front. I dont want to start using hair dyes so early and also just for a few hair. Is there any other alternative. My hair are black with blonde highlights in them. I have heard of temporary mascaras, are they good? Also using henna on just those few hairs, would that be good? I also came across some henna shampoos, but I am not sure if they can be used on highlighted hair. Any suggestions, Please.I have started having some grey hair, right in the front. How can I cover it without using hair dyes.?
Use Just For Men dye for the beards. Really. It works. You only make up a little at a time and only use it where you need it. It's not permanent but it only takes 5 minutes and lasts several shampoos.I have started having some grey hair, right in the front. How can I cover it without using hair dyes.?
Well that sucks. I wouldn't suggest any mascaras. I'm just a smart a** and say wear a hat! But you probally should dye it if you're concerned about it.
The colored mascara would work, although there are a few negatives that you should be aware of. The downfall of using them is that every time you wash your hair they wash out. If it rains it will run (and so will any other kind of temporary colors), and they also have a tendency to clump up. Plus, you wouldn't be able to run your fingers through your hair because you would get it all over your hands.

The henna shampoo wouldn't be a good idea because it will also cover your highlights.

If I were you, I would either try the henna color ONLY on the grey area. Or, try a semi-permanent color on the grey area. That's about all the options you have. Good luck with whatever you try!
You can go to any beauty supply store like Sally's Beauty supply sales to the public and they have a crayon looking device that lets you color in the hair between the hair appointments. It is not permanent so anytime you shampoo or wet your hair you will have to use it again but it works between color/highlight appointments.
If it's only just a few hairs as in a few strands, you might just want to pull them out like me :) Of course I'm talking about only 2 or 3 strands, not more than that.
What is your original hair color? If you don't mind reddish highlights and tones use henna for hair. Natural body art quality to be safest !!

For brown tones use henna and indigo mixed together

For black use henna first, then put indigo afterwards seperately.

This is very safe and covers grey very well.

What's the best way to cover grey hair?

I used Ayur henna to cover my grey hair. But it led to ear and sinus problems.I dont know whether I can use henna again.

Grecian Formula works if you want to keep your natural color, or else just dye it. Of course, as it grows, you must do other things to maintain the grey, so stick with the Grecian. What's the best way to cover grey hair?

Is it normal for a 50+ year old man NOT to have grey hair?

Or are they just pretending that they don't have it by dying it?Is it normal for a 50+ year old man NOT to have grey hair?
well i have some clients that have no grey at that age. if you see them all the time you should be able to tell. they can't hide it forever! Is it normal for a 50+ year old man NOT to have grey hair?
I have a 68 year old woman friend who has like 2 gray hairs, while some people go totally gray at 25.

It's normal for that person.

Sounds like you are more worried about whether he is a liar than if he has grey hair.
Yes it is possible. My grandmother started showing signs of grey hair when she was 70 and her head at 90 was partially black and white.
yeah i think so.. my math teacher is like 53 and his hair isn't gray. %26amp; i dont think he dyes it...
It's not very common, but every one's hair goes grey at different times. My mom went grey at 17, my dad around 50, and I've got some grey at 27. When a man dyes their hair, it's kind of easy to tell since most of them don't get it done at a salon.

  • What causes people to get grey hair?

And why do some get it at such a young age while others can *naturally* stay away from the grey hairs taking over till their 50's?What causes people to get grey hair?
There are cells at the base of the hair follicle that produce melanin, the same chemical/hormone/whatever that allows you to tan. The melan in the hair shaft is what gives its color. As we age, these cells produce less and less melanin. Without the melanin the hair appears white or grey. I assume the reason some people get grey hair so young is the same reason some people get wrinkles younger than others: environmental exposure to who knows what, genetics, etc. Hope this answered a little bit of your question. What causes people to get grey hair?
one thing is ageing! bcoz of that people get grey hair over till their 50's! and for people in young age - they do not eat the nutritional things necessary for really healthy and black and shiny hair! that is it! hmmm... some people say eating green chillies and red chillies makes ur hair really healthy, black and shiny and also lets the hair be grey after a real long time!
hey hiieee kate.......... the reasons for premature greyin of hair can be due to Faulty hair...mental worries and lack of vitamins....sometimes it can be hereditary.....or due to unclean condition of scalp.

sometimes the surrounding also matters the most...if u stay in a polluted area or so.....it equally affect the hair causing various problems such as greyin of hair.....hair breakage....dry hair.....and so on

some of the remedies that i can help u with can be: maintaining a nutrient rich diet....Aviod devitalizing foods, soft drinks etc.Massage your scalp with coconut based hair oil atleast thrice a week.....and Rub Indian gooseberry ( also known as Amla ) into the scalp regularly.

If still u feel that these tips are nt helpin you much....u may visit the link http://healthyhaircareonline.com/

Dr. Aparna Santhanam (Dermatologist%26amp; hair specialist) will surely give u her expert tips for ur hair problem....!!!!
typically heredity and genes are the main factors as to why the hair greys when it does... but the actual process is you start losing the color melanin in your hair...leaving it empty..and when it empties..it leaves the hair looking grey with a slick, shiny, wirey, feel to it...
its a loss of the pigment melanin in the hair. its natural, everybody is different, so people grey at diff times. its natural and cant be avoided, but only covered up
It can be a combination of things.

Stress is a big key factor. Sometimes it's in your genes. If you want to get rid of gray hairs, go to a hair salon and have them dye your roots. =]
Age, worrying, stress - chemicals used in our hair and sometimes sickness or hereditary genes.
Grey hair is caused when the things in your hair that give it colour, die off and grey hair starts to grow.
The cells containing the pigment (i.e. the colour of any hair) slowly die as you get older, meaning that there is less colour until it turns completely gray.
    -old age

    -genetics
    stress, genetics, and aging.
    Genetics or Old Age.
    I guess it's genetic. I'm 33 and have plenty.
your body stops producing the pigment that is needed for that hair color.
idk but when they get old they get grey hair.
    children...children cause gray hair!!!

Does pulling a grey hair from your scalp make you get even more grey hairs?

My dad seems to believe that's true. He just doesn't want to touch his small amount of grey hairs because he fears that he'll get an even larger amount of grey hairs.Does pulling a grey hair from your scalp make you get even more grey hairs?
Well, if you have a head full of gray hair, than the likelihood of you getting another gray hair is very possible. However, if the majority of your hair is blonde/brunette/red, than it is very unlikely you will grow another gray hair if you pull it out. The reason our hair is the color it is depends on a pigment in our cells called melanin. A lot of melanin gives a person brown hair, less melanin gives blonde hair, and a mixture of different concentrations of melanin produces red hair. No melanin equals gray hair. As a person gets older, melanin production in the body slows drastically, leaving a person with gray hair. However, due to gene defects, sometimes a young person may find a gray hair or two in his/her scalp. Sometimes stress can cause us to have gray hair too. But to answer your question, you are more likely to grow back a regular colored strand of hair than a gray hair though you may still find a gray hair every once in a while.Does pulling a grey hair from your scalp make you get even more grey hairs?
No, that is definately a myth. It has never beem proved, and isn't true.
NO!..but it will make you bald if you pull enuff of them!
That is a top question and I was wondering that myself..
It will only make him bald. Then he won't have to worry about his hair color.
yes it's true if you pull them out you will get many grey hairs my mother always pulled out her grey hairs now she constanly needs to paint her hair
    No it is a lie.
    no I don't think so

At what age did you find your first grey hair?

Be honest now!At what age did you find your first grey hair?
18 and it was hard for me.......At what age did you find your first grey hair?
I'm now 27 and I noticed my first grey hairs (yes, plural) when I reached 13! My mum had it young too but neither of my brothers or sisters have. It is to do with me being a 'born worrier'. I always wanted to protect my family even from far back as 6/7 years old and always worried about family paying bills and for siblings to get fairly treated even though I'm not the eldest. Ironically, my Mum and I are very similar people but she is the eldest of siblings.

My mum has told me it is hereditary but without the proof of my siblings, or family on Mum's side, having the same thing I think she is only trying to make me feel better.

Having the grey hair was a little alarming at first as I thought I had the one and then noticed dozens lurking underneath and were mostly on one side because when I delved deeper I noticed I had some on the other side too. Once the I got over the shock, I thought it was sooo cool. From there on I got more and I kept getting told by schoolmates (not friends) that I was a 'granny' and being told to dye it from friends and family but I always held my ground as it is what made and makes me unique - part of my Identity. I hardly had any on top of head and they never outbalanced my very dark hair but it was long and very noticeable.

Growing up was harder and I got more pressure to dye but did not cave. A few years ago an inadvertent result of me getting great hair with volume etc made it less noticeable i.e. it hid them and now I have colour in my hair so I hardly see them, which was not the intention when I went to get my hair done. I want them back to complement my hair but trying to tell the hairdresser to miss them is impractical.

I need not worry though as they will be back with a vengeance.
    i haven't gotten one yet
    i was 55 years old,then i started losing it.
none ... yet. my mom is 56 and doesn't have any yet so i'm guessing i'm not gonna have any for a while. :)

Why do we grow grey hair after a while? How does it lose it's color? What determines it's shade or whatever?

You know, like some blonde people go really white, and some brunette people have dark grey hair? Why do we grow grey hair after a while? How does it lose it's color? What determines it's shade or whatever?
The pigment cells in our hair follicles gradually die as we age. When there are fewer pigment cells in a hair follicle, that strand of hair will no longer contain as much melanin and will become a more transparent color - like gray, silver, or white - as it grows. As people continue to get older, fewer pigment cells will be around to produce melanin. Eventually, the hair will look completely gray.

Melanin: pigment cells continuously produce a chemical called melanin that gives the growing shaft of hair its color of brown, blonde, red, and anything in between. Why do we grow grey hair after a while? How does it lose it's color? What determines it's shade or whatever?
Hair color is determined by the amount of pigmentation, among other things. So, as hair ages, along with your body, and starts to lose it's pigmentation, it starts to gray. But, since it was blonde to begin with, it already had a different amount of pigmentation than the brunette next door, so naturally, it will gray differently as well.

Will drinking a lot of carrot juice stop grey hair?

I'm 15 and have at least 25% of my head covered with white hairs..I usually dye it but I heard that drinking carrot juice would return the hair to its natural color, being black. Is this true? and how much would I need to drink to do this? Will drinking a lot of carrot juice stop grey hair?
Once your hair strands begin to turn gray then they stay like that forever. There isn't any natural or manufactured formula that will change it back to it's natural color. Genetics and stress are just two things that can cause graying - and you've pointed out that it's genetic. Just continue to dye it like you've been doing because that's the only thing you can do.Will drinking a lot of carrot juice stop grey hair?
hunni thats not true, your hair is white because the pigmantation has gone and nothing can bring that back. Dyeing it is your only option, but i would say you are a bit on the young side to be getting white hair, is it in patches clumped together?

Haha i totally got the wrong end of the stick there. Either way no carrot juice wont help with the colour of your hair ....... but i have heard that it makes you see in the dark!!

Ah i was right he was talking about going grey. It's very rare but there is a condition that causes you hair to go white in patches ( just cant think of the name...ah even if i could remember i'd never be able to spell it )

Yeah if you dad has it then it was always on the books that it could happen to you. They know why your hair goes grey ( no pigmentation ) but they no idea why some people stop producing it and other dont and at different stages in life.
I believe by white he means that after dying his hair (after bleaching it) his hair is white, but it should grow back as it's natural color.

And I would dismiss that as a stupid rumor.

Why do you get one grey hair every few months or so?

Im 24 and i get like one grey hair once in a while, it cant have grown it had to have just appeared! Im sure other people get it too i was just curious why that happens? TY!!Why do you get one grey hair every few months or so?

Hair grows white when the color pigment (melanin) ceases to be produced in the hair follicle and small air spaces take its place. Check out http://useinfo-grayhair.blogspot.com/ for more info on gray hair.

  • How does George Lamb have grey hair?

he cant be any older than 30 odd. I've heard of premature baldness in men but never premature grey! Or does he dye his hair? If you think he dyes his hair any ideas why?How does George Lamb have grey hair?
    -Vitamin B12 deficiency

-Neurofibromatosis (also called Von Recklinghausen's disease). This group of inherited diseases causes tumors to grow along nerves. It may cause the bones and skin to develop abnormally.

-Tuberous sclerosis. An unusual, inherited condition that causes benign tumors in multiple organs (including the brain, heart, kidneys, eyes, lung and skin)

    -Thyroid disease

-Vitiligo. This condition causes melanocytes (the cells at the base of hair follicles that produce color) to be lost or destroyed鈥攑erhaps because the immune system ';misfires'; and attacks the scalp rather than an infection.

-Alopecia areata. A disorder in which patches of hair may be suddenly lost, especially the colored (non-gray) hairs. This may lead to ';overnight'; graying because previously present gray or white hairs suddenly become more obvious. When hair growth resumes, it may be white or gray, but colored hair may eventually return.

-Some research also links premature graying to heart disease and low bone mass (called osteopenia, a precursor of osteoporosis). How these conditions relate to hair graying is unclear. Cigarette smoking can also cause premature graying. How does George Lamb have grey hair?

To keep from getting grey hair, dye it. That's the only way. Genes are responsible for when and how much grey you get. If you're older, age gracefully. If you're younger, accept the fact that you are going grey. It could work to your advantage!
there,s only 2 things you can do and that,s either shave your head or dye your hair.

Is there an out of the box hair colour that really covers grey hair?

I have yet to find any out of the box hair colour that covers all of my grey hair. If anyone knows of one that really works please tell me the make. I end up having to colour my hair every 2-3 weeks. They all say 100% grey coverage but none of them actually completely colour my grey roots. I am tempted to go grey, but I am 43 and am not ready to show my age yet. If anyone has had great success please let me know.

Thank youIs there an out of the box hair colour that really covers grey hair?
If you wanna try this: When you buy haircolor yourself check the number in a packet. If there is a number like 5.53 number 53 means there is a fasion seire color in it, and fasion serie doesnt cover grays. Try to find box where is only one number like 6 that means it is a natural color(name natural color sounds bad, but they have really pretty colors), and they hide the grays. Best serie in hairsalongs for hide the grays( my oppinion ) is Goldwell. Hope my answer was useful! Is there an out of the box hair colour that really covers grey hair?
None I've tried has ever covered my white hair.
Get your self some 'L'oreal Excellence Creme' They have a whole bunch of new colors. It is the best I have found. It will give your hair a streaked color. It turns out georgeous. You can get it at the drugstore.
    DO NOT DO IT

I suggest camouflaging the gray roots using a low-light or color-weaving procedure.

Let your natural hair-color grow out as far as you can stand it. This may be 陆 inch or 1陆 inches depending on you. At that point, go to your hairdresser to have the roots ';low-lighted'; To accomplish this a tint, matching the ends of your hair is used. A low-light is created just as a high-light is, using foil or a frosting cap, except that a tint is used instead of a lightener to color certain strands of hair. The effect is to ';break up'; the root area, taking away the line dividing roots from tinted hair.

Occasionally the procedure may need to be repeated a second time in one or two months. Fewer low-lights should be added at this time. In this way you will become accustomed to your new salt %26amp; pepper look as it grows. Your natural hair-color will soon be long enough that the old tinted hair can be cut off.

After your hair has been low-lighted, it is helpful to choose a new shorter, layered haircut. This will remove some of the old tinted hair and reveal more of the natural hair that you want to show. Wearing your hair long will prolong the process of getting rid of the unwanted tint.

Going from tinted hair to natural is never easy, but the low-lighting process will make the transition as painless as possible.

What is the best Hollistic way of making grey hair go back to color?

this was said to happen to Anne wigmore when she did wheat grass, and other things from her hippocratic health center like sprouting, raw foods and rejuvex

I also heard this happen to a woman who did a diet of raw fruits and above the ground veggies..those who followed Arnold Ehret's diet like she did often achieved astounding levels of health and well being, and said they thought they were healthy but they were shocked at the multiple changes that took place and they had more pep than when they were kidsWhat is the best Hollistic way of making grey hair go back to color?
Yes, as another said Henna. You can also use black tea or indigo. Henna is awesome and I used it a long time ago and would like to do it again. It made my hair so healthy.

These days however, health food stores also contain special hair dyes that are supposed to be good for your hair and may be natural as well. You may indeed want to check them out too.

  • Why does Osama Bin Ladin have a beard without grey hair in the recently aired videos when he had grey before?

Does this not strike you as being odd? According to U.S. news media outlets, the newest Bin Ladin tapes are of Bin Ladin and are recent. Yet, why does he look as young or younger in these ';new'; tapes as he did five years ago. I don't think that he's been using ';just for men'; either. I'm not just talking about the beard, either. I'm talking about his skin, his overall appearance, etc.

Do you have the feeling that the public is being deceived for other purposes? If so, why?

Is it possible that Osama Bin Ladin has been dead for quite some time? Why does Osama Bin Ladin have a beard without grey hair in the recently aired videos when he had grey before?
    There are several possibilities:

    1. Osama has apparently succumbed to the temptations of the flesh. He went down to Wally World and got some hair color for his beard. He is therefore an infidal and should be punished accordingly.

    2. He is making a totally failed attempt to decieve us. Just like the older anchors on your Local TV News try to do when they are off for six weeks and when they come back their face is as tight as Kenny Roger's. So he is a liar and an infidel and should be punished accorgingly.

3 It's a conspiracy. Our government, in conjunction with the Trilateral Commission, the Neo Nazi movement, and Bush, are trying to fool us. So, they are infidels . . . . .

    4. It's a conspiracy, however the guy that was supposed to roll the tape put in a very old one from Bin Ladin's high school graduation. They will not admit their mistake. Therefore they are infidels. . . . .

    5. YOU are an infidel, trying to sew discontent among the hard working, patriotic people of Amerika. Instead of going along with the propaganda, you are inciting mutiny. So, as an infidel. . . .

    6. One of us: Bin Laden, You, I, or many of us in the world, were potty trained wrong. We are infidels. . . . .

    7. It's possible that Bin Laden, and GW Bush, AND Kenny Rogers and his chicken franchise Have been dead for quite some time but there are digitized images that are being used on television to keep the public fooled. Or they might be using some of those Dysney animatronics to animate all of them. This would explain Bush's robotic movements and embarassingly limited vocabulary and lack of familiarity with the English language.

    8. We could be living in the sequel to ';Invation of the Body Snatchers. ';Why does Osama Bin Ladin have a beard without grey hair in the recently aired videos when he had grey before?
It's obviously another Bush conspiracy, and wow, YOU CAUGHT IT!! Two cookies and a bologna sammich for YOU!!

that goofy ole' Bush, he's just pulling another fast one on us. Even though he's a complete idiot, it's amazing he can come up with such good SHYT!!!

You sir are now on Bush's hit list. If you're black, be on the look out for Bush generated hurricanes. If you're a journalist be on the lookout for ';planted documents';, if you're a democrat congressman that voted for the war, be on the lookout for ';memory loss of that war vote';. And if you're a muslim be on the lookout for and ';illegal war';.
I take nothing at face value and I tried to read up as much as I could from others (not just officials in DC or the media clowns)....

I have a friend who interigates, as in POW's, and others. Combined with what they noted in the tapes and what others who are outside the state department, cia, and media

I do not believe that was bin laden. He is missing certain phrases that he uses, he is missing inflection in the voice that are permenant markers on people unless they have a stroke. Body language is different, the eye movement is inconsistant with him in past times, body shape differences not consistant with injury, sickness or weight gain loss and such.

I can go on, the list is long. His subject has gone from religious satan america to sounding like communism, from the great satan to look at how they shop on TV.

As I say, I can go on, but I don't think we are looking at the ';original, but rather a body double. Not a bad fake either, he just is a poor understudy for the real DEAD one.

that is my take, am I right. Can't say with certain assurance, but the facts are clear, something has drastically changed with him, his language, his philosophy and his body language.
It could be that Osama has been away at a private medical/health spa for the wealthy.

He's on dialysis and requires medical attention. There are several VERY exclusive health/medical facilities throughout the globe that are extremely private and whose clientele are protected to the extreme - - e.g., their arrival, stay and departure is a closely guarded secret.

...or you're right.....he's dead and the video was edited/pieced together from previous taped video segments.
The video is a fake. The last legit video he was very thin and Grey haired.
He misunderstood and thought he was having a Halloween broadcast, a month early.
    because it's fake.
Thats easy ....... its camel crap
    He uses just for Men.
Is the public being deceived you ask....well the Democrats would hate to see him dead cause that would be the last nail in their coffin....you see victory for America = tragedy for the Dems. Defeat in any form is what the Dems are banking on,I know its bizarre but that's what the Dems message seems to be...When was the last time a Dem of any flavor asks the question ';what can I do to help win';? I think being a winner is a concept the Democrats don't get.
He must be a customer of Loreal.
Because of all the money he gets from the Bush family (your tax dollars) he can afford to go get it dyed in Beverly Hills....
He's trying to come across all youthful and vital (to make sure we still fell threatened), so he simply went and dyed it. It's really not that hard to figure out.
In some historical activities of war include covering the

gray hair with black or reddish co lour that means he meant war. He looks very younger any way that is not difficult with

Grey hair, how can you get your hair colour to grow back again?

My brother seems to be getting alot of them, and it is affecting his confidence. Someone told me that their is a way to get grey hairs to stop growing and stimulate the follicles in order to get your original colour to grow again. Is that true? I just feel real bad about him, he came to a family get together wearing a beanie at the table :SGrey hair, how can you get your hair colour to grow back again?
you cant but tell him to dye it if hes really self conshious about it you can get do it urself kits really cheapGrey hair, how can you get your hair colour to grow back again?
theres some products and websites claiming that certain herbs and vitamins can restore the pigmentation in the hair follicles...heres one

    http://www.melanplus.com/

theres only one way for him to find out if it works
Ok, theres this hairgrowth oil that grew my hair in some receding lines- so I know it works-

theres one testimonial I read there, where the guy said, it made his hair darker- grey hair- so you could look at it.

Mine are all black- but they are better now.

    else- tell him to dye
Nope, once the pigment has gone, it can't be brought back.

Suggest Hair dye and just let him know that he is not alone.
    ummmmmmmm

no there is no way to grow back the colour into hair.

    sorry

    get him to die it
why cant he get his hair dyed

much cheaper and it works x
.............................ur jokes.......................he cant unless he goes to some hair therapy, which cost thousands. or just tell him to dye his hair simple as
Grey hair is caused by the switching off of the gene that controls the hair colour, usually through age, it can';t be reversed and is actually very sexy.
Hair grows white when the color pigment (melanin) ceases to be produced in the hair follicle and small air spaces take its place. Check out http://useinfo-grayhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.
heya..no unfortunately, once grey hair as gone grey, its due to the colour pigment being lost naturally...and other than dying the hair, theres no other way to get the colour bk.

Ask your parents or grandparents - that will give you the most realistic answer of what you can expect for yourself.

Otherwise, I think between mid40-50 years old, many people will start to go grey.

I have grey hair growing around a bump on my head, can anyone help explain?

I first noticed it about 2 years ago, i had one doctor try to say it was faliculitis (probably spelt wrong sorry) and tried to say the grey was coincidence, and another told me it was a cyst. I recently cut my hair and now i've noticed 3 more starting, not sure if that was before the cut though. My grandfather said his sister and my uncle get them as well and any explanation would greatly set my mind at easeI have grey hair growing around a bump on my head, can anyone help explain?
you don't have to worry, hair color is related to heredetary factors and streeses but not disease; meaning grey hair was never a sign of tumor, infection or cyst. it can be heredetary since you have it in the family alreday, or being really stressed. if it is bothering u just dye it and don't plug it out bacause you'll haev more many trust me i wish somebody told me about it ... my hair is full of grey hair and i used to plug it. but better be grey than bold !!! hahaha.

just don't worry that is completly normal .I have grey hair growing around a bump on my head, can anyone help explain?
    Hey x

Well i recently went on holiday and my cousin had that it was kinda something that has to be checked by the doctor it can grow bigger and bigger, he's went bigger but try going doctors..

What colour can i put in my partially grey hair for my daughers wedding, outfit?

my outfit is mainly brown with aqua, what colour nail polish would suit, nothing too bright, but look elegant. What colour can i put in my partially grey hair for my daughers wedding, outfit?
Could you have some subtle tones of browns put in your hair? It won't be that much of a shock as it would if you did your hair a whole different colour.

How about just a clear light pearl colour on your nails or a brown colour (It would depend on the length of your nails though as brown looks better on long nails).

You could always go for a french manicure. You can get kits that you do yourself.

Hope you all have a great day that will be remembered for years to come. :-)What colour can i put in my partially grey hair for my daughers wedding, outfit?
like a nude or light pink it will go great trut me it works well with all types of clothing any color or style so if ur eevr stuck in this jam again i suggest that u dont waste ur time and just slap on some nude thats actually the color i am wearing right now its light but still very noticable trust me it will work wonders no matter what u r wearing :) and for ur hair darling i would get like a light brown with carmel and light blonde highlights u can get the stuff to do it at wal mart or any drugstore and the do it ur self highlight kits work great unless u are getting it done at the salon then yeah just go with the light brown with carmel and blonde highlights
You can never go wrong with a french manicure. If you dont like that, try a sheer brown. As for your hair, grey is IN! but if you have to dye it, do like some caramels, light brown, a few strands of a warm blonde. Have fun! and try not to cry.
    Light brown
Just try to pick the color that is closest to what your regular hair color is. I have greys and my favorite brand of color is Nice %26amp; Easy (I use 120, Natural Dark Brown), it covers grey hair nicely and it goes with your tones to that you won't have a flat color, you'll have natural looking highlights. As for nail-polish I would go with a pinky-beige color, that will look nice and elegant but not flashy or bright.

P.S.- Put the color on your hair about a week or two weeks before the wedding so the color has time to ';settle'; and you'll have time to get used to it. I always try to go 2 days without washing my hair after I've done the color, after that wash your hair every other day.
u have gray hair ,u mean ur getting old or maybe ur getting to many gray hair cause u have many problems with ur children right hehe , just kidding i think brown is better on ur hair, grandma
I want to clarify your asking what would a good hair color and nail color be for a wedding look? Hair will depend on your skin type and natural colored hair and how colored you want to go. Are you planning a trip to the salon or doing everything at home? For your hair i recommend a color close to your natural. I have been graying very early in life and was born with very dark brown hair so i can go with red or brown's. If your planning on coloring at home friend a brand that deals gray hair.

as for nails you could go with a nude shad or a sheer shade or the standard french manicure.
Pale brown, have your hair Highlighted to cover gray.
    A taupe color.
French manicure or sheer colours on nails like essie mademoiselle. Medium Golden brown would look great on your hair. It will complement the dress too

  • Why do elderly women always have short, curly, white/grey hair?

I understand the grey, that happens, but does your hair stop growing and become curly as well? Is this a fashion choice or just inevitable aging? Why do elderly women always have short, curly, white/grey hair?
Maybe they're just too lazy to do their Hair. ;pWhy do elderly women always have short, curly, white/grey hair?
We know women are smarter than men? Well, as women age, over-thinking causes overheating of the brain cells. This heating of the brain cells travels through the poorly insulated upper cranial structure causing caloric changes to the makeup of the root structure in hair follicles. The heat causes hair to lose pigment and gain curl at the same time. Hair is brittle and tends to break off shorter than it used to because of brittleness.
fashion choice. most women curl their hair or get perms. it doesnt make sense for your hair to just ';stop growing and become curly';. my grandma curls her hair everynight...i guess its just their style?

Grey hair is natural and will increase with age. I had grey hairs in ones and twos as a teenager (I think it was having a GREAT time that did it) and now at 35, I have more, but I don't have ';grey hair';. If you want to reduce your grey, I'd say work to reduce stress, lead a calm life, and enjoy life simply. This is very normal, it does not mean you'll turn grey by 25, and you should get out some tweezers if it worries you. There's no need. Cheers!

Reduce stress in your life. Live healthy.
dye it but if you die it black again youll have the same problem...its not really gray its just the pigment that males it look that way
There is not much you can do to prevent gray hair. Stress does cause hormonal changes that may cause it, but I hope at 15 that is not the case. You'll have to dye it pretty often since color does not last as long on gray or red hairs.

Why am i already getting grey hair?

Im am 20 years old and already have noticably grey hair. What can i do about it?Why am i already getting grey hair?
A faulty diet and mental worries are the two primary causes of premature graying of hair. Another most common reason is heredity. It can also be the result of a medical condition, if you are deficient in B12 or suffer from a thyroid imbalance it can also cause your hair to go gray. Are there any permanent hair colourants that actually cover grey hair?

I feel as if I've tried every make and none of them seem to cover the grey totally

UK answers only please, for obvious reasonsAre there any permanent hair colourants that actually cover grey hair?
I'm not in the UK but also have stubborn grey and I was recently told by a friend that you can buy a formula to add to your dye that will help the colour adhere to the grey. You may want to check that out.Are there any permanent hair colourants that actually cover grey hair?
The best i have found on the market is Excel 10. Its a new one from Loreal and only takes 10 minutes (if u leave a little longer the colour is a bit more vibrant) Comes in lots of different colours and leaves my hair shiny and really well conditioned.
my mum uses garnier nutrisse cream chessnut works every time with no problems. not sure what the other is called, its Live something. works well also. Good Luck :)
Garnier is the best way to go, it doesn't even damage your hair, and it leaves it nice and silky with no greys :)
nice and easy works every time for me.
yes lots do.....but the colour doesn't last long enough

hmm i'm sorry i dont know of any natural treatments for covering gray hairs.. but alot of times they come from stress so try reducing the amount of stress in your life.. and if they are just coming with time.. then.. there is not much you can do other than to wear them proudly... they show wisdom! heh :]How do I manage grey hair?
you could shave your head....or you can grow older gracefully
You can either pluck out the grey hairs or you can dye your hair.
yeah the dye is the only way to do it, but you can find more natural dyes.

otherwise, i'd suggest just plucking them i suppose
Depends on your original hair color, and how much grey hair you have.

It shouldn't show too much on a blond, but if you are brunette, you can try running dark tea through your hair after a shower, or even cola if you want. But unfortunately, I think chemical dyes offer the best coverage.
you can use henna which is a natural dye, or you can just embrace the grey!

    Good luck!
To check graying of hair, mix lemon juice in olive oil, beat till frothy and apply on scalp and wash off after an hour. Premature graying of hair can be postponed by using a strong decotion of black tea and a tablespoon of salt, strain and apply to the roots for 45 minutes and wash with water. Don't shampoo. Please check out http://useinfo-grayhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.
try coloring your hair with henna. it doesn't damage your hair cos it's all natural. only thing is, it doesn't last as long as ordinary hair dyes.
the only way is dye.....sorry hunnie

I have a lot of grey hair and I am 17, should I dye my hair?

I have black hair, so it's really noticeable. I wanted to dye it black, would it hurt my hair in the future? And do I have any other option that is not keeping the grey hair?I have a lot of grey hair and I am 17, should I dye my hair?
It is ok to color your hair, but remember that over the counter stuff has metallic dyes in them and will ruin your hair in the long run, so it is always best to go to a salon and have them do it professionally. The color they use does not have the metallic dyes in them and will keep the hair healthier in the long run and will last longer. They are trained to account for the grey and can color your hair the color you want or even suggest something maybe with a lighter brown or even highlights if those options interest you, which would all cover grey. Plus they know what styles and colors would best suit your facial frame and keep up with the fashion of today. However if it is just a few grey hairs you can go to your local beauty supply store that is open to the public (example... sally's beauty supply store) and buy a small amount of color that you can apply with the mascara type wand that comes with the product. Just keep in mind that when dying hair a dark color the grey tends to be more noticeable so if you decide to go with a lighter color it takes longer for it to be noticed.I have a lot of grey hair and I am 17, should I dye my hair?
You're only 17... so you've got a few options. You can always rock a wig! You'd never have to pick just one style. Or you could just dye your hair. You'd have to read the directions carefully because they have special directions for those with gray hair. The only downside to dying your hair.. is once you do it, you have to keep up with it. Or you can always just rock the gray hair... yeah you're 17 and may be a little self conscience about it... but it adds to your personality and separates you from the rest.
You can try this. Don't shampoo. dying your hair doesnt ';hurt'; your hair. im assuming youre a guy so im gonna just suggest you go with a very short haircut. theyre very popular now. (like the military cut) i'd ask the barber, or whoever, for a ';1';. its not completely bald but its some hair and it wont show the grey hardly.
its okay to dye your hair...3-4 months apart from each time yu dye it. and word of advice...the darker the color is that youre planning to dye it..the more the chemicals the dye may contain..which an increase the risk of getting cancer....so if yu like..maybe go for a brown or something. goodluck!
A lot of guys just leave it alone when it's just a little and since your 17 it's probably only a little bit. If it really does bother you then you can dye it.
    um dye it

my aunt was like you where she was 19 she got white hairs

shes been doing it since then and shes 40 now and she still has healthy hair maybe start with like highliights of your same colour to fill them in if it get outta control dont stress dye it
it is fine to dye your hair but when you do, you have to do it regularly after the first time.
Not really, I've started getting grey hair, I started in 7th grade. To avoid hurting your hair in the future try using the dye every 3-4 months (minimal use.)
some people turn gray sooner i would dye my hair black if I were u and no it wont have any effect on your hair in the future beause after all hair is dead because if it wasnt u would be screaming when u got a hair cut.
welll, in the situation you shoulld, but if you dye your hair then its gonna get white more quicker, just like shaving your legs if you shave your legs then it starts to grow even more often!!!

    hope i helped!
You should defiantly dye it or get highlights.
If I were you I'd dye it, but over dyeing hair can cause skin cancer because of the chemicals in it... So... you might wanna think it over first. XD
    Yeah die it.

ya, I started when I was 25, they affirm gray hair is really genetic. though I read stress is so powerful that can change you麓re genetic, so if there is any help, take things more easy and let it goAnyone else have grey hair in their 30s?
i am teen and i have gray hair, my mom said is genetics. sometimes people around 30 to older have gray hair because of stress . to treat it is just to take it easy and eat healthier to boost your health.

some changes in what you eat like drink more water now and eat more vegetables, maybe like you used to. drink aleast till you know you won't be thristy, and eat vegetables like every meal without any sauces and stuff.
I started going gray very early. I was told by a beautician that this can be caused by the many surgeries that I had. She said anesthesia can cause premature graying. I am not sure about this, perhaps it is just genetics. Just out of curiosity did you have a lot of surgeries.
Oh, sure, my grey hair started at about 16 or so, and mine also started mostly in the top front, too!

What is the reason for people who are only teenagers having grey hair?

i saw a couple of people in my grade 10 class having grey hair.

why is this? What is the reason for people who are only teenagers having grey hair?
Genetics. I started to get grey hairs at 16 and now at 36, I am about 10% grey. When I first saw the grey hair I panicked and thought that I would turn completely grey very quickly but it is a slow process thankfully! Both my parents started going grey very early so it is totally down to genes in this case. What is the reason for people who are only teenagers having grey hair?
    hereditary. All in the genes.

I suggest you google ';premature greying'; and see what comes up. If this doesn't help, then see your doctor. My guess is that it is a hormonal problem and your doctor may be able to prescribe something to correct this.Actually, I just did googled it and up popped ';Premature greying in children';. It said that it is called ';canities'; and can be genetic, but it can also be a symptom of other under lying problems. So, google ';premature greying'; read up on it and then perhaps, just to be safe, take her to see her doctor. Best wishes to you!
you can't....i've had gray hairs since I was 12. It was just singles here and there. What ever you do DO NOT dwell on them it will only make her self conscience! DO NOT even mention them to her. Tweens and teens have enough crap going on with out parents worrying about gray hair. If SHE is bothered by it and wants to do something about it take her to a hair salon and let her have her hair colored. Personally it never bothered me until my late 20's when I ended up with a white patch at the front of my head. I started coloring my hair then and now regret it. I'm slowly backing off with highlights and will eventually just let the gray grow in. my point...let it be her choice.
there is nothing you can do. and it cant be stopped, but hopefully it will just come in strand, she is getting to that age when she will want to dye her hair anyway
dude are you kidding my how can you stop it??? YOU CANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is she a red head? B/c that happens to red heads a lot.

Maybe talk to her about trying to reduce her stress levels, etc.

I doubt it's TRUE grey hairs.
I don't think you can stop it.

i dont know but my daughter is the same.
I would want to take her to the doctor. My guess would be stress. But I am not a doctor.
Maybe go to a doctor? it is the best way to solve it with safety and don't w8 an answer from here.
If you want to stop how to get your daughter from getting Grey hair tell her that if she does you'll ground her till her next birthday or if you want to scare her out of getting Grey hair tell her when shes 13 she'll be older than a grandma and other people will call her old or you can give her scary pictures of freaky Halloween old people my friend did the same thing and she ended up with blond hair it looks so much better but i really think it got to her brain a little to much.....(lol)
it can't... but if your daughter's lucky... it will happen like my aunt's... she pull it and it never grown back again...
it has nothing to do with P i think. lotsa people are getting it
well im not sure but u shoukd not dye it if u r goin ta dye it only once because if u keep on dyin it shell get really thin hair
    Go to the doctor..

She might have a over active thyroid thing..

    I have underactive...

When you have overactive it makes you grow faster..

    and stuff...

    Hope you find out..

    :]
Take her to a doctor, see if this is normal, then take his advice or dye her hair. If you figure out how to stop gray hair, let us all know.
it must run in the family. it happened to my mom when she was 11.

but no there is nothing you can do about it.

some people get gray early...and i guess she did

you can always dye her hair... but that would ruin it a bit i guess....

its not a diasease or anything! she just got it early it happens sometimes! but shes just going through puberty

she might dstrt her period i dunno but its normal.

i do..i cried for days, lol

it didnt make me wise, i think it made me thicker honestlyAdult Poll: Do you remember the first time you found a grey hair on your head?
I found my first grey/white hair when I was 14.

I like grey hair and I'm proud of my increasing amount.

~EDIT~ They always called me an old soul and told me I was 40 when I was born. I guess it's fitting.
mine came in in swatches, my hair is naturally blonde anyway so it took a bit to really notice it, i got one swatch on each side of my head (which is how the avi came about, husband said i was like the blonde bride of Frankenstein) but i am really lucky, its more like its losing its pigment and just turning white, i get compliments on my ';frosting'; all the time lol when they ask who did it i say god
Be happy darlin and don't hide it, show it off!!!!!!!!

I think my 'first' grey hair appeared when I was 30 but I was able to keep it covered most of the time, it was on the left back side of my head...

Now, at 45, I show them all off--more around my face are coming in!!!!!!!!

    do a dance

'old people' get away with it :)
i started getting gray years ago. hereditary. not to bad yet. i'm only 28 now. i started about 6 years ago. shortly after marriage. coincidence? i dont think so. lol.. anyhoo..be proud of your graceful aging. :)
One of My sisters pulled it out of my head 19 years ago. Don't worry. It's nothing to cry about. Take a little pride in it. :)
    I haven't yet...

Mostly because my hair is blondish with a reddish tone. Hard to see em, I think. I'm not gonna go lookin for em either.

*hugs* Don't pull it out! 7 more will come in to take it's place.
Betty - or should I say *ahem* Jen - finding the 1st grey hair on your head does not EVEN compare to finding the 1st grey hair elsewhere........believe me!! ;~D
thankfully not yet, but im only 22

you should definitely be happy, cuz you put that in a positive way! =]
Unfortunately, there are fewer of the other hairs up there to hide them. I do remember the first one.......and the first gray hair in my nose! lol
Yeah - i have a few on my temples and I found them last year. Such is life.

I'm now riveted with excitement at the prospect of my first grey pube...
I wouldn't cry, but I wouldn't be happy about it either. I just colored mine, so my white ones are gone.
I found grey hairs on my head at 18...I was devastated...Luckily 20 odd years later I still only have a few...But even if you do go grey, so what? It's not ugly or unsightly.
Sadly yes..And it now has a family all of its own...Plus a small bald patch appearing..*sulks*

    The wisdom bit doesn't work..At 51 I am still a mere learner
BE HAPPY it waited until after your thirties! I got my first one at seventeen!!!
I do as I was only 18 years old, by 32 I had pepper and salt hair and by 40 it was snow white.
Awww, I haven't found one yet. Not on my head anyway. Don't be sad.
I can't remember that far back....
I found my first one when i was 18.
Wait until you find a grey pube hair. Then your wisdom will really show.
I'm convinced that I'm going bald or shedding or something. You should see the shower after I finish washing my hair
No I don't remember that...I think it changed on my chest first but I could be mistaken...Damn that memory loss...
You just found your first grey hair? Not bad for a 60 year old!!!!

  • What to do about prematurely grey hair?

I am only 32 but my hair is almost completely white. Someone suggested trying Yun Nam in Singapore but I'm not sure if their treatments will be effective. Any advice? What to do about prematurely grey hair?
Well, it is most like from your genes if your hair is mostly white at age 32 and there is nothing you can do about it. Yun Nam is extremely costly and almost useless for this sort of conditions but I'm sure they will not tell you that. Another possible reason is due to you being under extreme stress. I have friends who have the same problem as you before 25 due to stress from school.

For these problems, there is nothing Yun Nam can do and you will pay a high price for nothing. Your best solution would be to dye for hair to a trendy colour, it helped for my friend. But avoid dyeing it black as it would be very dark and artificial. A natural colour you could consider would be dark brown. Another alternative would be to shave off (some people do look trendy that way, but not many though)

While the ';solutions'; i suggested can't help to solve the problem, these are your best choices I think. Going to Yun Nam or any other ';hair consultants'; would be a bad move. They only give false hope that you could be cured and they give no guarantees of success (even if you're not cured in 5 years, you will not get any refund at all) but they would keep making you return by claiming that your condition is improving little by little.

Disclaimer: These bad experiences with the ';hair consultants'; I know are from my hairdresser would tells me the bad experiences his clients encountered. I trust he is telling the truth because I don't have these problems thus he is not trying to sell me anything when he told me these stories. If you insist on trying these hair consultants, you can go ahead. But personally I feel that they are like the ';magic stones or amulet'; sellers as they play on people's desperation. What to do about prematurely grey hair?
yeah dude yunnam should be rather effective or so i've heard. And lay off the stress factor, get more rest, space out regularly, go take a vacation or something.

Why do i have specks of grey hair so young?

Im only 12 and have grey hair my dads side of the family has it i wish i never would of got that from them do you think their just genetic. Why do i have specks of grey hair so young?
you must be strest out that gives you grays to so try some yoga and some streches it works and drink some liptan tea with no milk if you drink coffe alot drink more tea

Take care!!!Why do i have specks of grey hair so young?
    It's genetics. Stress doesn't cause grey hair; that's a myth/old wive's tale.
genetic, unless you are REALLY stressed

Is it possible to put highlights in grey hair and would the process be effective?

Absolutely. I am a hairstylist, and rather than using typical bleach for your foils, your stylist will use a permanent hair color with 20 volume developer. This will cover the grey, and blend the existing grey without your moving to a single process hair color. I would recommend your stylist to use 3-4 different shades. (light blonde, med blonde, dark blonde, light brown) within your foils. This will give you a fully blended look without a strong root growing in when you need your hair done again. i do this for many of my grey clients that aren't ready for single process color, but yet want their grey blended. If your tell your stylist as I told you, you should have no problem having this done, regardless of your location. Hope this helps. Good luck!Is it possible to put highlights in grey hair and would the process be effective?
    Yes of course you can.

Ask your stylist to do fine foil highlights of your chosen color, this will look natural as well as having your roots done at the same time..

Hope this helps you.Is it possible to put highlights in grey hair and would the process be effective?
Yes and yes. One of the most effective ways is to have several shades of the same colour woven through into highlights or low lights. This only needs re-touching every 6 to 8 weeks, and new shades can be introduced as you go along, if you fancy a change.
I assume that my hair must have begun to go grey now, but I have highlights every 4 months and my colour still looks natural and definitely not grey. My aunt who's 62 has beautiful hair which is maintained by regularly having highlights. A good colourist at the hairdressers is your best source of advice
Yest i will soften the tones around your face.
It is indeed possible. And thank God or I'd be looking even older than I do now. I'd be completely grey without highlights but my hair stylist weaves through 3 different colours and I've retained the blonde of my youth!
Hi!, yeh sure its possible, but before you highlight first you could cover all your greys and then start the highlighting process. This would help to provide an even base.
yes u can even put highlights in asian hair. if its dark they will first dye the highlights blonde and then in the color u wish!

    good luck!

I have so many grey hair and in my 20s. What chemical treatment doesnt increase the # of grey hair?

My gray heir are hidden from the black hair, but I want to tame it coz its so thick. I'm scared to dye it, coz it might increase the grey (?) So Im thinking of having it relazed or anything that cannot increase the number of grey hair on my head. How about relax or cellophane? Are they safe?I have so many grey hair and in my 20s. What chemical treatment doesnt increase the # of grey hair?
I'm a hairdresser and if you came into my salon I would automatically show you a range of permanent hair colour. If your hair is black already then it's very unlikely the colour will show up anyway. If you want to tame your hair, you could have it dyed to take away the grey and then relaxed with a permanent straightening technique a few weeks later. Or you could simply have a conditioning treatment every so often in a salon. Find a good salon by asking family/friends (whose hair you like!) where they go and find a reputable salon that way. I would advise you not to dye it yourself at home because it is likely that most of the greys won't be covered. Hope I helped! Sara xx

I have used Grecian Formula or its equivalent with great results, but not to brighten. Just darkened it. I turned really grey in my 40's. The change was gradual enough that my son never realized my hair had returned to its original near-black color.

Sage And Rosemary Natural Hair Dye.

    1) make a strong 'tea' of Sage and a bit of Rosemary, strain it and refrigerate it.

    2) Before you wash your hair, spray it on the base

of any grey patches of hair, you can even massaged

    it in.

    3) Leave it on for 10 - thirty minutes and then wash as usual, and care for your hair as you normally do.

    4) After a few weeks of this ( do this almost daily), the grey will start to disappear.

    5) After using the sage the normal coloring returns to the hair.

It is not a 'color-change' shocker, and it softens and allows you to control frizzies and the amount of grey.

    6) This is a natural recipe that have been used through the years and will not damage your hair.

    7) If you stop using it, the grey gradually return.

    8) A lady was totally grey headed and after a month of daily use of this solution, her normal light brown hair color returned. which she had not seen for over ten years. After she obtained her natural color, she use

this solution once or twice a week now to keep her normal hair color.

    Hi,

Buy a dye, the same colour as your hair (brown). Mix up a little dye in a non metallic bowl. Then colour just your grey streak by holding it up %26amp; applying the dye, maybe with a colouring brush or old toothbrush. Mixing up a little colour at a time, just to colour your streak, means the colour you buy will last for ages %26amp; you can touch up whenever you like.

    Good luck.
Have you tried the hair dyes that last 6 wks.You can wash them out quick to re-use.

Can I dye red over blue green Grey hair ?

So about a month ago I dyed my hair blue black. After it faded out to...Grey, I decided I wanted to go back to red. So I bleached the all ready blue Grey (almost green) hair. It turned out much lighter but I still have some green Grey left in it. I wondering if I could use Garnier Nutrisse 76 Hot Tamale (the hair dye i have) and if it would be red with no ugly poo colors? Or if i shjould bleach my hair one more time. Can I dye red over blue green Grey hair ?
id bleach it again... its really hard to dye over green. my cousin and best friend both had green hair and couldn't get it out even professionally. my bff spent hundreds getting rid of it and its still not even completely gone

When you get grey hair, how fast does it turn to white?

Because I have a few white hairs. I don't know if they are grey, or have lost the pigment of something. As far as I know, these hairs were never grey, but just turned white, or maybe grew white, I'm not sure. And I'm only 18, is this weird? When you get grey hair, how fast does it turn to white?
No, I've had gray hair (which is now white) since I was 14. I am 25 now. Not ALL of my hair is white, lol, just a lot of it streaked in here and there. It's from stress. Or maybe if your on certain medications also. I know it's unattractive, but don't worry. If it bothers you, dye it!When you get grey hair, how fast does it turn to white?
Believe it or not, lots of people get grey hair around your age.

Most people choose to dye it.

Some people with grey hair never get white hair. When my grandother started getting grey hair, it stayed grey until she died.

    It never turned white.

So it depends, your hair might turned white. But it never turns white really fast.
    is it weird?

    no! it's prefectly normal.

grey hair would 'fade' to white, or stay grey.
no its not wierd to get grey hair at 18 it turns white quick

  • Is it normal for a 15 year old to get grey hair?

I'm 15 and i was looking in the mirror and I noticed I had some grey hair. Help!Is it normal for a 15 year old to get grey hair?
if anyone around this age gets grey hair, then most likely you must be smart and think alot. :)Is it normal for a 15 year old to get grey hair?
no need to worry. its probably just a gene coming from your parents or someone else in your family. its completely natural. i am 13 and i have found a grey hair on my head once. i get this from my dad, he had grey hair when he was 20 or so

it can be because that strand of hair cannot produce anymore pigment so that's why its grey. Our body produces a pigment for our hair. That's how our hair is black brown blonde red or whatever color ur hair is

and sometimes its because you think alot or stress too much. that can also cause grey hairs sometimes.

    don't worry. it's completely natural
    It's normal (:

I'm 16 and the other day I found a grey hair.

My mum says it's natural to have some hairs that just dont have pigment in them or something like that.

    Dont worry, it's normal :D
I know a couple of people in my grade (high school freshman) who have it. It's probably stress or genes. Does anyone else in your family have early grey hair?
    yes stress
    no, not at all

What happens when you pull a grey hair?

Does another hair grow back in that spot or does it just stay empty? What happens when you pull a grey hair?
The old wives tale that if you pull one gray hair, two will grow back is simply false. Hair's grow out of hair folicles. You have a certain amount and however many you have will not increase. Although they can get damaged or clogged and hair can quit growing out of these, you don't get 'punished' for yanking some with double the hairs [gray or otherwise] growing back in... .What happens when you pull a grey hair?
another hair will grow from that follicle, also the same color will appear
If you're young, a new one will grow back, but not grey. That strand of grey hair is that color because it has not fallen out to produce a new hair. So no worries!
    It hurts

another gray will grow back in its place
more grow in so dont do that just dye the grays with the new grey solution!!!
If it were that easy, nobody would go for electrolysis.

I don't know all the scientific reasons, but it will grow back gray.

A badge of honor for getting older..

I have one of those noticeable streaks myself.. wonder if I brought it on w/hair straighteners because that was a stubborn curl spot.

Anyways, I lighten and color my hair now, and I'm very comfortable w/the color..reminds me of my very young days.

If you're young, you might want to let nature take it's course for a while.

If you're older, and the grays gather, you may want to color.

Once you find a color you like, you may be glad to dye your hair.
    Haahaa...good question
If the root comes out, it stays empty.
supposedly 3-5 grow back in it's place if it's true well it seems like it but i think if you stress about a gray that you pull then grays will start to appear more for you are stressed and you are looking hard for them

Can i remove my grey hair permanently with electrolysis?

i have around 30 gray hairs scattered here and there on my head..i dont want them to be..can i go for electrolysis and permanently remove them? does electrolysis remove only those single grey hairs, without effecting nearby black ones? Can i remove my grey hair permanently with electrolysis?
Ok unless you want to go for electrolysis forever Id stick to colouring it. Greying of the hair is a natural ageing process and due to genetics can be faster or slower in different people. You lose hair all the time the same as hair is always growing. So zap one of the blighters and sure enough theres another popping up just around the corner. Its a never ending battle you will never win.Can i remove my grey hair permanently with electrolysis?
yeah but you need to do it like 3 x a year
    you could

but more hairs will turn gray

i would just leave it or dye it

Easiest way to allow my grey hair to grow out...?

I have colored my hair for over 20 years and have finally decided that I am sick and tired of doing so. My hair is colored dark brown but my roots are silver/grey. It is cut in layers and just reaches my shoulders, any idea as to how to grow it out gracefully aside from cutting it into a pixie???Easiest way to allow my grey hair to grow out...?
just let it grow and keep trimming once in a while. It'll be grown out in no time.Easiest way to allow my grey hair to grow out...?
Maybe get some hilights just to lighten the dark so there is not such a contrast. Go to a professional.

Best hair color to look natural but cover grey hairs well?

I am 28 years old and have recently got quite a few grey hairs. I do not want to color my hair, but they are becoming more and more obvious, and embarrasing at my young age. What is the best brand to use to cover greys, but be natural. I want to match my hair color the best I can!Best hair color to look natural but cover grey hairs well?
Well, I use the L'oreal Belle Color shade ';Light Golden Blonde'; and that seems to do a great job covering my grey (I am 35 and have quite a few here and there now). I colour it every 4-5 weeks. I like this brand as I find it makes my hair really soft and does not damage it or dry it out.Best hair color to look natural but cover grey hairs well?
TRY NATURAL INSTINCT . WORKS GOOD AND IS CHEAP.
go to your hairdresser and ask her

the box brands tend to be a little more sketchy

and your hair stylist can recommend things

and show you different colours that will look

    ';natural'; and good on you
I'm 19 and I have grey hair (my dad did at this age too). I'd say go with a lighter color like blonde
idk about guys, but if u were a girl i'd say auburn...

    hmmm....

    -rasari
perfect match or get the color closest to your color
JUST TO A SALON, THEY ARE THE BEST TO TELL YOU WHAT EXACTLY YOU NEED...
I never trust the stuff in a box to be natural. I'd suggest going to a salon you trust and tell them that you are looking to color your hair as close to the natural color to cover the grays. They will have no problem doing that for you.
whats ur hair color, if you want people to help you match the closest colorto your hair i think you should mention it=d
    If you're a guy...don't color your hair.

Believe me that girls think gray hair is sexy...I don't know why, but it's 100% true.
Natural Instincts (that add with Penelope Cruz) but the brand doesn't really matter...its the colour that's important depending on your natural hair colour.
Grey Solution ; i use it and i dont even have Grey hairs yet. it works very nicely :D
loreal 鈾?thats what some people i heard use and it works
have you ever heard the saying ';blondes go gray slower';.... its totally true!
    Clairol, Just for men.....................
you should really ask ur hair stylist, the hair color at drug stores (like CVS) aren't that perminant and won't give u the coverage u want. if u really can't afford 2 go 2 a salon, then i suggest garnier
Unfortunately you cannot cover grey hair unless you use perminant hair colour. The process of covering grey is for the hair colour pigment from the tint to penetrait your hairs cortex (the inside of each individual) and change the inside chemically.

If you use a semi colour or a colour wash, they are designed to tone hair and will fade very fast! However, a less damaging colouring process is called Quasi colouring, It lasts for 22 washes and like all colouring treatments (Apart from semis) uses a peroxide developer! But at a lower level. They cover grey but as they are 22 washes will fade.

    Go to your salon!
