I don't think so... cells that produce the color in hair just don't work as well as they used to. These cells are called ';melanocytes.';

';Melanos'; is a Greek word that means ';very dark.'; ';Cyte'; comes from ';kutos,'; which is Greek, too. It meant ';a hollow vessel.'; Now it means cell.

Those melanocytes don't work quite as well as they used to because they're not getting as much of a certain hormone. That hormone has fallen off because of a decrease in another hormone.
i think I've heard you can use something called henna. Its a dark brown substance (all natural) indians use to draw designs on their hands with on certain festivals. It's not permanent though.
Try using henna colour. its got more natural ingredients than normal colourants but be cautious you cannot colour over this very easily
Wear a pure wool hat
Not that I know off, if you don't want to put any hard chemicals in your hair you can try a semi-permanent rinse.

If you don't mind the chemicals you can always bleach your hair (strip the color totally) and but the dark chestnut semi-permanent rinse or permanent hair color in.

There are also color 'sticks' where you can simply 'color' your Grey.

All of these items I mentioned are available at WALGREENS in the cosmetics area.

Check with one of their beauty advisors as well.
To check graying of hair, mix lemon juice in olive oil, beat till frothy and apply on scalp and wash off after an hour. Premature graying of hair can be postponed by using a strong decotion of black tea and a tablespoon of salt, strain and apply to the roots for 45 minutes and wash with water. Don't shampoo.
